CompTIA CySA+
EXAM CODE CS0-003
CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) is a certification for cyber professionals tasked with incident detection, prevention and response through continuous security monitoring.
OVERVIEW
The CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification validates the skills and knowledge required to proactively defend and continuously improve the security of an organization’s systems. The certification covers the following critical areas:
- Threat Detection and Analysis: Learn how to monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to security threats, using tools like intrusion detection systems (IDS) and security information and event management (SIEM).
- Vulnerability Management: Understand how to identify, prioritize, and mitigate vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks, reducing the risk of exploitation by attackers.
- Incident Response: Gain expertise in managing and responding to security incidents, including identifying the scope of attacks, containing breaches, and ensuring effective recovery and documentation processes.
- Security Architecture and Tool Sets: Develop the ability to implement and maintain security architectures, as well as configure and manage various security tools used in daily cybersecurity operations.
- Compliance and Threat Intelligence: Learn how to assess and ensure compliance with security regulations and best practices, and leverage threat intelligence to anticipate, prevent, and mitigate future attacks.
Academic Requirements: Grade 12 or 9-12 months of practical experience in a lab or field environment.
Language: Proficiency in English is required, as course materials and support are provided exclusively in English.
